WriteAtHome A-G Courses for California Charter Schools
This page provides information about the A-G courses WriteAtHome offers. Each California school determines which courses they will offer to fulfill A-G requirements. Please check with your school to be sure WriteAtHome is one of its options.
Once you confirm your school uses WriteAtHome A-G English courses, use the form below to reserve your student’s place in our classes. Please be sure to select California A-G English Course in the Course Type field (it’s the last choice). Students will be enrolled when we receive the school purchase order.
About our A-G English courses
WriteAtHome A-G English courses combine an annual WriteAtHome writing course, a literature course, and additional projects to align with the California A-G English requirements (B).
The writing courses are online, asynchronous, and include tutoring from expert writing coaches. Click here to learn more about how our writing courses work.
WriteAtHome offers two tracks for the study of high school literature: Classical and Conventional. Click here for information about those tracks.
All literature options are live Zoom classes which meet weekly, and the Classical Track literature courses are also available as a self-paced versions.*
In addition to the writing and literature course work required, A-G students will complete a collaborative and oral presentation project provided in the A-G Modules. The A-G Module projects will be submitted to and graded by the student’s ES/teacher of record.

English 9: High School Writing 1 Annual + Lit 1, The Ancient World
English 10: High School Writing 2 Annual + Lit 2, The Middle Ages
English 11: High School Writing 3 Annual + Lit 3, The Renaissance
English 12: High School Writing 4 Annual + Lit 4, The Modern Era
Conventional Track
English 9: High School Writing 1 Annual + Intro to Lit
English 10: High School Writing 2 Annual + American Lit
English 11: High School Writing 3 Annual + British Lit
English 12: High School Writing 4 Annual + World Lit

$649 per year with self-paced literature (Classical Track only)*

NOTE: Self-paced literature classes do not include WriteAtHome teacher or TA support. They include recorded lectures, self-grading quizzes, pacing guides, and discussion topics.
