History 3 - Renaissance, Reformation and Early Modern Era
This class surveys the events, ideas and cultures from the 15th Century through the mid-19th Century, primarily focused on the developments of Western Civilizations, with forays into the Far East. Shaped to pair well with Lit 3.
NOTE: Student expectations are only for live classes. There are no expectations or teacher support for self-paced courses.

Required Texts:
-Penguin History of the World, J.M. Roberts and Odd Arne Westad (6th edition, 2013)
-Sources of the Western Tradition, Volume 2, Marvin Perry (9th edition preferred but not required, and cheaper than later editions.)
Not Required but Recommended: Smithsonian’s History of the World Map By Map
