Elizabeth Stoyeff is a native of Southwest Missouri. She grew up on a small farm in a home school family and has always enjoyed reading and writing. Because of these passions, she earned her undergraduate degree in English and Writing at Evangel University and went on to complete her master’s degree in Rhetoric and Composition from Missouri State University. She began teaching Composition courses even before completing her first degree and has continued to do so ever since. Her favorite genres of writing are creative nonfiction, expository writing, and argumentative research writing. She sees writing as a venue to explore creative ways of communication and a forum for creating and refining logical arguments/positions.

Outside of writing, she enjoys sports—particularly soccer, volleyball, and ultimate Frisbee—and the outdoors, such as hiking, canoeing, and camping trips, especially with her family. In addition, she enjoys traveling internationally and meeting people from other countries and cultures. These travels and experiences have enhanced her love of language learning in general and writing in particular.
