Kendra developed a passion for reading with the help of her second grade teacher. When she entered third grade, she turned into a full-fledged bookworm. In high school, she had several advanced placement English courses that introduced her to classical literature,such as novels written by Charles Dickens and Jane Austen. During college, she earned a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies, an M.Ed. in Human Relations, an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, and a Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning. She has experience tutoring undergraduate students, graduate students, and doctoral candidates from universities across the nation. During her spare time, she mentors high school students by inspiring them to achieve their academic and career goals. As she enjoys working with students of all ages, she is currently pursuing an Ed.S. in K-12 Leadership.

Kendra is passionate about helping students understand the writing process and express their ideas on paper. She believes that once students overcome writing challenges, they become more confident with their writing skills and develop a passion for writing. She encourages students to have a positive outlook on the development of their writing abilities because she feels that each one can become a proficient writer.
